Side Trip to Juneau
Bill, Mim and I took an express ferry from Sitka to Juneau to do a little site seeing and visit with some friends of Mim and Mike's. We left Sitka Saturday mid-day, arrived in Juneau for dinner and stayed 2 nights with Molly and Ron. Sunday we visited the state museum, Mendenhall Glacier and drove out north of Juneau to look for bears along the ocean and creeks. No luck on bear sightings but the day was beautiful. We had a lovely dinner with Molly, Ron and friends and left on the ferry this morning at 8. Now back in Sitka we're getting ready for our return to the lower 48. We fly out tomorrow morning.

This blogging thing is quite a challenge and Mim and I are working on instructions which will be printed on the right side of this page letting you know how to send us a message on this site. It's supposed to be easy. Just click on the word 'comments' at the bottom of this page, follow the prompts to sign in and create a password just one time (you'll use the same password each time you sign in in the future) and you're good to go and we will love to hear from you. Any helpful commentary or suggestions about this blog would also be appreciated. Cheers to all and thanks to everyone who has already responded. Karen and Bill
