Still in Florida

Well, we're still in Florida and have been working hard on the property; (the back lot still in our possession in Lake Worth). For those unfortunate enough to be following our saga with the property....we finally have a clear title and have put it on the market again but not without going through alot of hoops first. Our problems had to do with Unity of Title and we had to comply with some setback requirements in order to sell the land. We had to have the swimming pool, chicken coop and work shed taken out and we did the work to remove part of the porch and porch roof. Bill does a thorough job when he builds something so you can imagine how hard it was taking the cemented in posts out, etc. If you've been to our old house after Bill put the new porch on you can see what remains in this picture. Didn't we sell the lot with the house on it, you ask? Yes...but setbacks had to be accomplished on both sides of the property line and we chose to do the work. We are almost finished cleaning up the landscaping, as well, and then finis. It will be a relief to be done..at least we hope we're done.
We haven't worked the whole time and one night we met with all our friends who used to work with Bill in Emergency Management in Palm Beach County..it was great to see everyone.....had a wonderful time. We went out to dinner with Pepe, Debbie, Wayne, MC, and Helene at Morton's. Yum.
The following are pictures from the Scottish Games in Ft. Lauderdale. This was the first time we had been to the games and they were very interesting. Herding dogs are my favorite event...............
This event is the tossing of the Caber. I think I have the name right.
This was the final gathering of the bands at the end of the day. Very cool. People come from all over the US for these and other Scottish Games in the US. Who knew?
Something caught Pearlie's eye on a sunny afternoon.
Stay well. Karen, Bill, Mango and Pearl.
