Aches National Park, Utah

Our destination after Colorado was Moab, Utah (arrived May 20); kind of a pleasant, slightly touristy town (maybe very touristy in the summer) with amazing parks and terrain surrounding it. If you haven't made it there yet we highly recommend it. We actually ended up spending more time there than we had planned since our truck's brakes breathed their last on the drive through the Rockies and we had to have both sets replaced. Ouch. Can't these parts go on forever? Below are some sites from Arches National Park. There's a very good road that goes right through the middle of the park and it's stunning.

These Whiptail Lizards attracted a number of photographers, including myself, as we passed by..picture a bunch of humans leaning over these two taking photos..humans are funny.

I asked about wildflowers when we arrived at the park and a ranger told us about a road through a valley in the park where we would see a sea of orange flowers and he was right. The orange is Desert Globe Mallow and the blue green
is Sagebrush.
