Franklin Mountains State Park, El Paso, TX

Chronologically this post was supposed to come after the White Sands post following this one but I know the reader won't mind.
Right on the outskirts of the city of El Paso, TX lies the Franklin Mountains State Park. It's amazing how close all the wildflowers, animals and open space are to the city. We took one of the hikes up to caves on the side of the hill.

The caves.
Looking out from one of the caves.
Looking over to New Mexico.

This is a field on the way up to the park. Being early March the predominant flower at the entrance to the park and in the area was the California Poppy.
