Feb/March 2009, Skidaway Is.St.Park & Tybee Is.

We enjoyed our time in Florida and visits with lots of friends and family......It's always good to see everyone.
On our way out of Florida we stopped to visit friends in Haines City and as always had a great time.

Our next destination was Skidaway Island State Park, Savannah, GA near Tybee Island, GA where friends of ours from Maine were spending a couple months escaping the frigid north. The park was really lovely, very wooded and as you can see surrounded by lots of water and savannahs.

There was Spanish Moss hanging off most deciduous trees...you know the old south.

We spent a day with John and Priscilla in Savannah, a very cool little city with lots of history, ate at a restaurant called the "Pink House"...very delicious and then visited them out on Tybee Is. This is a very relaxed and unpretentious community a stones throw from Savannah and gorgeous.

It was a beautiful day for walking and our time there was really relaxing and fun as you can see.
