Maine Episodes, Post Reunion
Southwest Harbor viewed from West Marine where I worked this summer again.
My Aunt Ruth, 88 yrs, is my father's sister-in-law. He's know her since he was a teenager and she had just married his older brother. They hadn't seen each other for years and you can see how much they like each other. My father is 86.
One warm summer day we picniced at a beach near by, Valley Cove and you can see the direction our picnics take. You wouldn't think rocks would make for a good pillow but my mother and her brother might make you think twice.
Another warm day we walked in to Jordan Pond House for tea and popovers. This place is a tradition here and the fare delicious. The bridge below is a one of the carriage roads put in place many years ago by the Rockefellers...you can see the date on the bridge, 1917. People ride bikes and hike along these carriage roads and the path to Jordan Pond House follows the stream under the bridge.
Back at the garden things are growing like mad. These squash blooms are about to make yellow squash.....
